Good breathing goes hand in hand with calmness and better stress management, it is almost impossible to be stressed whilst breathing quietly.
Over 2000 years ago Lao-Tzu said: ” The perfect man breathes as if he is not breathing”. Professor Konstantin Buteyko spent a lifetime researching the effect of dysfunctional breathing in health and disease and claimed almost one hundred and fifty diseases or conditions are associated with or caused by dysfunctional breathing. Unfortunately at present it is rare to find this aspect of our physiology checked by our doctors unless you have a specific respiratory disease.
